Orders for livestock or dry goods can be placed directly with G.M Aquatics by phone, email, or through our online shop. Once your order has been placed and full payment has been received, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a suitable delivery date.
Livestock deliveries need to be planned carefully, as fish are sent by overnight courier and must be received promptly the following morning. For this reason, we always confirm delivery arrangements before dispatching your order.
Livestock deliveries are sent using DX and are available on weekdays only. DX do not offer a weekend service for the shipping of livestock, so fish cannot be dispatched for Saturday or Sunday delivery.
Livestock parcels are normally delivered between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Please make sure someone is available at the delivery address during this time, as fish must be received as soon as possible after overnight transit.
If no one is available to receive the delivery, the parcel may be returned to G.M Aquatics. In this situation, no refund will be given, as we cannot guarantee the condition of livestock after a failed delivery attempt.
The standard delivery charge is £30 for parcels up to a total weight of 20kg. If your order is over this weight, an additional charge may apply depending on the size and weight of the parcel.
There may also be a surcharge for some areas outside mainland UK. If you are unsure about delivery costs to your area, please contact us with your postcode and we will be happy to provide a postage price before you place your order.
The best way to introduce your fish after overnight transit can vary depending on the species. Some fish may settle quickly, while others may need a slower and more careful introduction to reduce stress after travelling.
If you are unsure about the correct way to introduce your new fish to your aquarium, please ask us when placing your order. We will be happy to give advice based on the type of fish you are buying.
