Description
DR. BASSLEER BIOFISH FOOD FUCO contains 0.8 % fucoidan, a valuable polysaccharide from seaweed (Laminaria japonica). Seaweed (Kelp) is a very popular ingredient, especially in Asian cuisine. We recommend feeding with DR. BASSLEER BIOFISH FOOD FUCO, especially during a treatment against bacterial infections. Interesting scientific studies on probiotics, prebiotics and phytobiotics can be found at https://www.aquarium-munster.com/en/links/science/ DR. BASSLEER BIOFISH FOOD FUCO is offered in the different granulate sizes M, L, XL and XXL. The granulates in smaller pellet size M sink slowly, thus providing nutrients to all three water zones. This gives surface feeders, fish in the middle zone as well as bottom feeders alike a fresh and balanced diet. Complete food for ornamental fish, reg. no. KEY BENEFITS
1. Fucoidan – natural regenerative support: Fucoidan is a known product derived from seaweed, and it has a positive biological effect on the organism; adding it to fish feed can enhance the immune system, tissue repair, and keep the organism more resistant to diseases.
2. Full-fledged nutrition:Â In addition to fucoidan, the feed provides a complete nutritional profile, including high-quality proteins (derived from fish/crustaceans), essential amino acids, high-quality fats, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and gut-health probiotics/prebiotics.
3. Fresh and marine fish:Â The feed is designed to be compatible across a variety of aquarium environments, including tropical freshwater, cichlids, and ornamental fish.
4. Digestibility:Â Fuco feed is gently processed, so all nutrients are retained, digestibility is high, and waste production is low, resulting in clean water and a stable aquarium environment.
5. Recovery, healing, and resilience:Â Due to its potential regenerative and protective effects, fucoidan (Fuco) has become popular as a stress, illness, and environmental stress recovery agent, an immunomodulatory agent, and a vulnerability-reducing agent.
WHY & WHEN TO USE
1. In the recovery phase:Â After illness, medication, transport, or significant water changes, Fuco helps fish regain strength, heal faster, and restore their immune system.
2. As part of periodic health maintenance, Periodic feeding with Fuco (i.e., monthly regular feeding) may also help maintain high levels of immunity, resilience, and overall health in long-term aquarium populations.
3. In susceptible species, Fuco feed is a preventive dietary supplement to sensitive or disease-prone species (such as cichlids, catfish, or marine ornamentals).
4. In mixed or community tanks:Â Since it is a complete food source that can be consumed by multiple species, Fuco may be suitable across a wide range of tanks, benefiting both small and large fish.
5. During a feeding rotation, rotate Fuco between regular and special feeds to ensure balanced nutrition and provide occasional regenerative food, rather than feeding only the usual pellets.
